 Lareina Ockerman from the Department of

State visits Valley Elementary School

Lareina Ockerman, a BCHS graduate, spoke to sixth and seventh grade students at Valley Elementary.  She talked about the experiences she has had working for the United States Department of State.  Mostly recently, she has served as Deputy Chief of the American Citizens Services Unit in New Delhi, India.  Her next assignment will be in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic. 

   One of the ideas that Lariena stressed to the students was that if you work hard in school, your dreams and goals could be achieved.   Ms. Ockerman contibutes her success to growing up in a caring community right here in Bath County.
