Wiki Pages: How do I add a simple web page to my site I want text, pics and links on another page within my site

SharePointers for you to consider as you develop your website
with Windows SharePoint Services…
  • Sign In to your website in the upper right hand corner of the browser window
  • Click on Site Actions
  • Click on Create
  • In the far right column "Web Pages," click on Basic Page
  • Give the page a simple name (preferably one word--that way no spaces)
  • Choose the document library in which to place it.  Preferably you will have already created a "sites" document library that will hold websites such as the one you are creating, as opposed to a more typical document library that holds pdf files or Word docs or whatever.  Docs = docs; websites = sites.
  • Click Create to then create the blank page
  • A Content Editor Webpart Rich Text Editor window will now open.  Insert formatted text, pic links, tables, etc in the window, and then click on Save
  • You can edit the page by clicking on Edit Content in the upper right corner of the window
