A Note to Bath County Parents
The internet has become increasingly integrated into nearly every aspect our daily lives, and shows no sign of slowing down. We look to the internet for educational information, business resources, finances--banking and investment, submitting our taxes, community information, road and terrain maps, video, music, purchases of all sorts and much more.
Just as we lead our children through their educational development in other areas, parents and schools have a responsibility to teach children safe and effective ways to navigate and evaluate through the masses of information and other resources available online. Parents, please take an active role in this important asbect of your child's development. Your public schools pledge to assist in this process, to help give our children the skills they need in the 21st century.
The resources on these web pages are posted to help give you the building blocks you need to learn more about internet safety, as well as tools and strategies to ensure that your children stay safe as they explore their digital world.
