Please detail how you have used your tablet PC during instruction in the last two weeks. Subjects/topics/software/activities/etc... Are you at your desk/podium/moving around classroom/etc.

I use a lot of internet applications, so it's not exactly browsing per se. I use my computer largely as a desktop computer during lectures and connect it to my projector with a cord in order to allow for streaming of videos. Any new computer MUST be able to stream flawlessly through my projector. I'm constantly moving around the classroom, so a computer that would allow me to be even more mobile would be nice. I also need the new machine to be able to read my old files on Excel and PowerPoint.

Please detail your use of the stylus and/or touchscreen of your tablet PC in the last two weeks. What subjects, software, activities, etc. Is a touchscreen acceptable, or do you need an active stylus for precision writing?

Since my first Fujitsu tablet crashed and died in 2010-2011, I have had a computer that would not recognize the stylus on the touchscreen.

To what new/newer computer would you prefer to upgrade?

How will you use technology differently when we upgrade your computer?

I'm not too terribly excited about upgrading to Windows 8 mid-year, but whatever the machine can do differently I'll utilize.

What kind of assistance would you like to have from your school instructional technology resource teacher?

Just to be available if I have a problem using Windows 8 since there will be an adjustment period.

Will my new laptop be able to stream videos onto the screen through the projector without the buffering problems that come with trying to stream wirelessly? As I have a docking station now, will the new computer have something similar?
