Please detail how you have used your tablet PC during instruction in the last two weeks. Subjects/topics/software/activities/etc... Are you at your desk/podium/moving around classroom/etc.

I use my tablet PC for gross motor activities with the children, audio/video books, Smart Board activities with the children, music, art activities, etc. I also use it for fine motor activities, and some times as a communication tool for children who are non verbal. I use it daily with the children.

Please detail your use of the stylus and/or touchscreen of your tablet PC in the last two weeks. What subjects, software, activities, etc. Is a touchscreen acceptable, or do you need an active stylus for precision writing?

I have a stylus with my tablet PC and I have used it for having the children write or draw with it, but not very often.

To what new/newer computer would you prefer to upgrade?

Windows 7 or 8

How will you use technology differently when we upgrade your computer?

I will be able to run programs on the upgraded computer that have not been able to be run with older tablet. I will be able to use Outlook more efficiently and just be up to date!

What kind of assistance would you like to have from your school instructional technology resource teacher?

I will more than likely need training on how to use the new operating system and on how to use the new tablet in general. I will also need help in getting the tablet set up with the Smart Board as well.

The tablet that I have now has a 13" screen and I would not like to have anything smaller than that if possible.

I, of course use my tablet for lesson planning, data collection, IEP's, Child Plus for attendance and Head Start requirements.
