GeoGebra is a free program that allows graphing of algebraic functions and does geometry stuff as well. I learned about the program at a VCTM conference where I presented last year. I refound it this past fall and have been playing with it to see how I could incorporate it into my geometry and algebra classes. Sinces its free, I figure students could use it at home as well.
