I have been stressing with my students the way I want them to use the Word Wall. Every day I call several students up to the board one at a time and give them a sentence to write. Of course, all of the words in the sentence are on the word wall. They must use the word wall and what they already know about sentence structure to write the sentence. The other students offer "tips" to help the student when they are done. For example, a "tip" may be to put more space between words or use a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence.
I will continue to use this activity throughout the year, but will begin using One note to have the students write on the laptop with the stylus instead of the board with the marker. I'll let you know how it goes!
