Staff from BCPS were in close contact with local and state health agencies this past week to ensure that the school division was prepared for the potential impact from the H1N1 flu. Plans, procedures and contingencies were reviewed and revised as necessary. Primary emphasis has been on measures that may help prevent the spread of the virus in our area, including frequent hand washing, being careful with sneezing, and staying home when sick. The school division will follow the lead of the Virginia Department of Health regarding potential school closure
