BCPS Instructional Staff,
As we are now into the last quarter of the 2013-14 school year, planning has begun for our 2014-15 professional development programs. This survey, along with SOL assessment results, will also serve as a needs assessment for the use of Title II-A - Teacher Quality funds.
According to our approved calendar for next year, there are two days set aside during preschool workdays for staff development, half-day inservices scheduled in September, October & February, as well as a full day scheduled in March. Longer staff development opportunities, including a 3-semester hour class held within the division, would require time beyond scheduled inservice days, but minimize time and travel to other locations.
There will be both school-wide and division-wide topics for some of our staff development time, but we will also schedule workshops of interest to both small and large groups of staff. Please use this survey to communicate your specific needs.
