Strengths

Rick Bolling (11/6/2015 3:15 PM): Students and staff responded well to an unannounced drill that included a staged cafeteria fire with an obstructed hallway on one side of the kitchen to mimic the possible location of a cafeteria fire. There were a few visitors in the cafeteria who were visiting for school lunch week and they fell right in with the drill along with the students and staff members. Some students were purposely held in the building or exited the building through a different exit to test teachers on accounting for all students and they did very well.

Areas for Improvement

Rick Bolling (11/6/2015 3:15 PM): We learned that pulling a wall alarm does not automatically trigger a response from 911 dispatch and that a 911 call will be made by a staff member from a safe location ASAP in the event of a real fire.
