Strengths

Rick Bolling (8/27/2015 11:48 AM): Emergency were followed to the letter. Staff and students exited in a quiet and safe manner.

Areas for Improvement

Rick Bolling (8/27/2015 11:48 AM): One classroom did not turn off lights - lights were on in unattended rooms like staff work room and staff lounge - teachers and/or instructional assistants will be asked to turn those off and shut doors as they pass by them. Radios were not on the same channel. All were audible to Sarah Burns who was set to "scan" - staff will be informed that all should be set to OPS D - this is a change from last year which is the cause of the confusion. Head Start was the source of delay - all other students were out of the building within 50 seconds; preschoolers were not clear until 110 seconds. We will continue to familiarize these young students with the process to speed up that exit time without overwhelming the children.
