Bath County Public Schools participated in the 2016 Western Virginia Public Education Consortium (WVPEC) Job Fair Saturday at the Salem Civic Center. Twenty-one southwest Virginia school divisions spoke with scores of applicants from the surrounding area and across the mid-Atlantic region. Many potential applicants were looking for their first teaching position after completing their teacher education program in Virginia colleges and universities, while others were hoping to relocate to our area. The WVPEC Job Fair has been a valuable teacher recruitment tool for BCPS through the years, and is the only job fair attended by the school division.
