On October 28, Millboro Elementary School 7th grade students visited Washington & Lee University to learn more about college. During a panel discussion, students learned that college requires lots of homework, but allows them to focus their time and effort on topics that interest them. A tour of the athletic facilities showed students that competition can continue into college, even though grades should come first. The visit ended with a casual lunch that allowed Millboro Elementary students to chat with Washington & Lee students about the advantages and path to college along with the challenges and obstacles found along the way.
