Chamber of Commerce Recognizes Educators of the Year

Body

Three Bath County Public Schools educators were recognized at the Chamber of Commerce 4th Annual Business Appreciation Dinner/Awards Banquet on June 27, 2013.  Congratulations to Betty Colvin, Highlights: Donna Campagna, and Marjorie Hevener as the 2013 Educators of the Year!

Bath County High School – Betty Colvin has served 34 years as an instructional assistant in Bath County Public Schools.  She currently works at the high school level, travelling class to class with special needs students and serving in special needs classrooms.  She is respectful of all students and can often be found at extracurricular events providing assistance.  She is an inspiration and has touched the lives of many students in Bath County.

Millboro Elementary School – Donna Campagna comes in direct contact with every student, teacher, substitute, staff member and visitor to Millboro Elementary School.  She takes time for every student and makes the effort to brighten their day with a smile, a kind word or simply listening and making them feel important.  She raises the bar when it comes to work ethic and choosing your attitude.

Valley Elementary School – As a dedicated educator, Marjorie Hevener has proven to be an asset to the faculty, parents and students.  As the head teacher for the past eight years, she has handled all administrative duties with forethought, conviction and fairness.  Mrs. Hevener is a member of the School Improvement Team, Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Team, in addition to other committee assignments.
